This week it's obesity (isn't it always), swapping meat out of your diet, and a glimpse at delicious, presumably pacifist John Lemon Bars.

Experts predict more than 20,000 restaurants will go out of business before this financial hubbub is finished, and some chains are first in the firing line. Among the troubled: Outback Steakhouse, Applebee’s, Sbarro’s, Krispy Kreme, and Arby’s. Buy your Bloomin’ Onions now, folks.

You're not alone, Kristen. I got the same score on the TONY quiz. Though, I had a hard time answering the meat questions. RE: Frank Bruni: I really wanted there to be a choice somewhere in between a) God and b) total d'bag. ;)

A quick thought for Pat1755: I once read somewhere that the difference between the US's "greatest generation" (the post Depression, WWII generation) and today's generation is about 4 hours of TV per day.

The key to Happy Housewife, as I read it, is that she doesn't squander her life passively in front of the boob tube.

Four hours a day is a lot of time to enjoy life.
